It’s time to deal with one of the most essential features from geekApps – Online Shop! This feature will allow you to sell your products in a few clicks around the world. This is convenient not only for you, but also for your customers, who especially with the advent of the pandemic are accustomed to shopping online. Here you will also be helped by the integration of geekApps with PayPal! But about everything in turn.

Settings

Let’s start with the general settings, where you need to specify delivery details, store availability and much more, let’s start!

So, click on the Settings page after clicking Online Shop. Here you need to configure:

  1. Delivery Settings – how you deliver purchased goods. So you can choose one of the options:
  • Shipping (Send by mail)
  • Pick up from the store (Customer will pick up the purchase)
  • Both (you both deliver your goods and allow your customers to pick them up yourself)

To do this, click on the “Circle” icon next to the option you want.

  1. Shop Availability – when your customers can shop. You can choose two options:
  • Available only in working hours (You sell your goods only during working hours)
  • Available round the clock (you sell your goods around the clock)

To do this, click on the “Circle” icon next to the option you want.

  1. Upload Content – here you can download or upload your sales data in Excel format. You can choose two options:
  • Export CSV (You will download sales data directly from the geekApps platform)
  • Import CSV (You upload sales data to the geekApps platform)

To do this, click on the option you want.

  1. Shop Converting – if you choose this feature, then all prices from the store will disappear and your products can be purchased through the administrator in the store, ie your store will be a catalog of products without prices. To do this, click on the “Square” icon.
  2. Free Components – you have ingredients in the shop, pizza\extra cheese or regular packaging/holiday. Here you need to choose the range to which price these components will be free. To enter a price, click in the field below and enter the price manually.
  3. Purchase Status – the status that the client will receive. You need to manually write Title and Description for each of the statuses:
  • New – the customer has just made a purchase and you have not yet started processing it. Title – Order in place. Message – Hello, your order has been recently placed.
  • In progress – you have started processing the purchase and notify the customer. Enter the appropriate text as in the previous example.
  • Delivery – the purchase is delivered, the customer must pick it up. Enter the appropriate text as in the previous example.
  • Returned – the customer canceled the purchase or refused to pick it up. Enter the appropriate text as in the previous example.

Now that you have entered the general data, click Save in the upper right corner of the page. Next, we move to the Delivery page!

Delivery

On this page, you can manage your deliveries, create new ones, and edit old ones. Now let’s talk about everything in detail!

So you get to the Delivery page. Let’s start with creating a delivery. Click the New Delivery button in the upper right corner of the page. Here you create a new delivery for the goods purchased in your store.

  1. Enter Delivery Information:
  • Name – Name of the delivery company
  • Price – enter the shipping price
  • Description – other delivery details, such as deadlines.

To enter this information, click in the field below and enter the data manually.

  1. Select one of the following Shipping features:
  • Free Shipment Price – delivery will be free (at your expense), subject to the purchase of goods for a certain amount. If you click on this feature, you will need to enter the amount.
  • Min Delivery Order (delivery is paid by the buyer, making a request for a minimum amount).

To do this, click on the “Square” icon.

After filling in the Delivery information, click Add Delivery in the upper right corner if you want to add this Delivery, or Go Back if you do not want to add delivery (changes will not be saved).

In either case, you will return to the Shipping page.

Here you can manage existing deliveries as follows:

  1. View more – for example, you want to check delivery information. To do this, hover your mouse over the delivery you need, you will see a “View more” button, click. You will be taken to a page with delivery details, without the ability to edit it. To return, click the Go Back button in the upper right corner of the page.
  2. Edit – for example, you have changed the shipping company. To do this, hover your mouse over the delivery you need, you will see the “Pencil” icon, click. You will be taken to a page with delivery details, with the ability to edit. Enter the data you need. After filling in the delivery information, click Save in the upper right corner if you want to save the changes, or Go Back if you do not want to save the changes. In either case, you will return to the Shipping page.
  3. Delete. If you need to remove this shipping. This can be done in two ways:
  • Way 1- hover the mouse device over the desired Delivery, you will see the “Circle” icon in the upper left corner of the delivery, click on it, the “Trash” icon will appear in the upper right corner of the page – hover the mouse over the “Trash” icon, click and select one of the tabs – “Delete” (the delivery will be deleted), or “Cancel” (the delivery will remain and you will return to the “Delivery” page with all Deliveries, but the selected Delivery to delete will be highlighted, the “Circle” icon will be green, ready to delete; to cancel this function – click on the “Circle” icon again).
  • Way 2 – hover the mouse device first over the delivery and then over the “Trash” icon and click, select “Delete” (the delivery will be deleted) or “Cancel” (the delivery will remain and you will return to the “Delivery” Page with all deliveries).

Let’s move to the Purchases Page

Purchases

On the Purchases page you will see all purchases that have been made in your Online Shop. In particular, you will see the following purchase details:

  1. Status is one of the statuses you created in Settings (New, In Progress, Delivered, Returned).
  2. ID – Purchase ID number.
  3. Customer name – the name of the buyer who made the purchase.
  4. Total with delivery – the amount for the purchase, taking into account the cost of delivery.
  5. Address – the delivery address specified by the buyer.
  6. Date – The date the purchase was made.

On this page you can manage your purchases as follows:

  1. Change the status of the purchase – for example, you need to change the status from “New” to “In progress”. To do this, hover the mouse over the purchase you need, you will see the status, for example, “New”, click on this tab, and select the status you need from those offered.purchases 3
  2. View more – to view the details of the purchase, for example, you want to specify the color of the jeans ordered by the buyer. To do this, hover your mouse over the purchase you need, you will see a “View More” button.
  3. Send a message – for example, you need to specify the delivery address of the buyer. To do this, hover your mouse over the purchase you need, you will see a “Message” icon – click. Then you will get to the page with all the chats, with the ability to immediately correspond with the selected buyer.purchases chat
  4. Delete – for example, the buyer has incorrectly filled in this purchase but has already made a new purchase correctly. You can do this in 2 ways:
  • Way 1 – hover the mouse device first over the purchase and then over the “Trash” icon and click, select “Delete” or “Cancel”;
  • Way 2 – hover your mouse device over the purchase first, then over the “Ring” icon in the left corner of the purchase and click, then click on the “Trash” icon in the right corner of the page, select “Delete” or “Cancel” (the purchase will remain and you will return to the “Purchase” page with all purchases, but the selected purchase to delete will be highlighted, the “Circle” icon will be green, ready to delete; to cancel this function – click on the “Circle” icon again).
  1. Also, if you need to find a purchase that was made in a certain period of time, for example, the customer is interested in the status of the purchase, you can use the sort function. At the top of the Shopping page you will see Start Date and End Date. You can sort Dates in two ways:
  • Manually. Hover your mouse over the Start/End Date and click on the box below, you can select the dates you want.
  • Automatically. Opposite the Start/End Date you will see the “Calendar” icon, click on it, a calendar will appear, select the date you want by clicking on it.
  1. You can also search for buyers and purchase IDs, which is very convenient, especially if the customer asks for any clarification on the purchase, you can easily find their purchase. To do this, hover your mouse over the Magnifier icon, click and enter the data manually on the keyboard.
  2. You can also find another great feature in the upper right corner of the page – data printing. For example, you keep a paper record of your purchases, then you can click on the “Printer” icon and print all the purchase data.

Now we can go to the Products page!

Products

Finally, we get to creating and managing Products! Here you can create products and specify all the details to them!

Let’s start by creating a new product! In the upper right corner of the page you will see a “New” button, click. You will have 3 options to create a product to choose from:

  • Product category – for example, you want to create a category “Jeans”
  • Physical product – this will be a specific model of jeans.
  • Components are an addition to basic products, such as a belt.

Select the option you want and click.

If you select “Product Category”, you will be taken to a page where you will need to specify:

  1. Name a category, such as “Jeans”, to do this, hover over this ribbon and click, enter the name manually.
  2. Add a photo – to do this hover your mouse device over the “Add Media” button. (Upload from computer) – hover the mouse over the inscription and click, then select the desired file, click “Save” (the file will be saved and added) or “Cancel” (the file will not be added). You will see a window in which you can crop the photo.
  • On the left, you will see a photo, on the right options on how you can crop the photo. To crop the photo, hover your mouse device over the option of your choice and click.
  • Next, you can control the crop in the photo to do this, hover the mouse over the “Arrow” icon (which is located in the photo), click and hold it, move in the desired direction.
  • When you have finished cropping, click the “Crop” button (all changes will be saved) or the “Cross” icon in the upper right corner of the window (changes will not be saved, you will return to the “Product Category” page).
  1. You can hide the category in the Online Shop (buyers will not see it), for example, you have not finished editing this category. To do this, drag the “Hide category” slider to the left to make the category visible again – to the right. After creating a category, click Save in the upper right corner of the page.

If you have selected a Physical product, you will be taken to the relevant page where you can:

  1. Specify the product name, category, type, barcode. To do this, click on the field you need and enter the data manually.
  2. Add an additional product – a product that the application will recommend to the buyer to the created product. To add an additional product, hover the mouse over the “Plus” icon. You will be prompted to select one or more products from existing products. You can also search for the products you need by clicking the Magnifier icon and entering the product name manually. After selecting, click Save at the bottom of the form.
  3. Next, you can choose sub-products (components that may be needed for this product), such as a belt. To add a sub-product, hover the mouse over the “Plus” icon. You will be prompted to select one or more sub-products from existing ones. You can also search for the by-products you need by clicking the Magnifier icon and entering the name of the by-product manually. After selecting, click Save at the bottom of the form.
  4. You can also add files – images, videos, YouTube links. To do so, hover the mouse device over the tab you need and click on it, then select the file you need and click “Save” or “Cancel”.
  5. Then provide the following information:
  • Quantity (how many pieces you have available)
  • Discount (if any)
  • Price (product price)

To do this, hover the mouse and click on the field you want and enter manually.

  1. You can also add additional options (click on the boxes next to the options if you want to select one or another option), including:
  • Size and Color. This data must be entered manually.
  • Weight. Click on the icon next to the inscription, select one of the measures.
  • Volume. Click on the icon next to the inscription, select one of the measures.
  • Diagonal. Click on the icon next to the inscription, select one of the measures.
  • Length. Click on the icon next to the inscription, select one of the measures.
  • Width. Click on the icon next to the inscription, select one of the measures.
  • Height. Click on the icon next to the inscription, select one of the measures.
  • Also select a custom option or create one. For example, specify the age category “Adults”. When you have finished editing the form, click Save at the bottom of the page.
  1. Then enter a title description, for example, “Quality jeans with a high waist”, then enter a full description, such as composition, country of manufacture.
  2. If you still need to add a description feature, click the “Plus” icon next to “Add Description Block.”

Click “Save” in the upper right corner of the page! You will return to the Products main page.

If you select “Components (Sub-Product) Category”, you will be taken to a page where you will need to specify:

  1. Name a component, such as “Belt”, to do this, hover over this ribbon and click, enter the name manually.
  2. Add a “related to” product – a product that the application will recommend to the buyer to the created product. To add a related product, hover the mouse over the “Plus” icon. You will be prompted to select one or more products from existing products. You can also search for the products you need by clicking the Magnifier icon and entering the product name manually. After selecting, click Save at the bottom of the form. 
  3. Add a photo – to make the edge of this mouse device over the “Add Media” button. (Upload from computer) – hover the mouse over the inscription and click, then select the desired file, click “Save” (the file will be saved and added) or “Cancel” (the file will not be added). You will see a window in which you can crop the photo.
  • On the left, you will see a photo, on the right options on how you can crop the photo. To crop the photo, hover your mouse device over the option of your choice and click.
  • Next, you can control the crop in the photo to do this, hover the mouse over the “Arrow” icon (which is located in the photo), click and hold it, move in the desired direction.
  • When you have finished cropping, click the “Crop” button (all changes will be saved) or the “Cross” icon in the upper right corner of the window (changes will not be saved, you will return to the “Components (Sub-Product) Category” page ).

When you have finished editing the form, click Save at the bottom of the page.

You can now manage the products you create on the Products home page. You will see the categories you have already created. You can:

  1. Delete – for example, the buyer has incorrectly filled in this purchase, but has already made a new purchase correctly. You can do this in 2 ways:
  • Way 1 – hover the mouse device first over the category and then over the “Trash” icon and click, select “Delete” or “Cancel”;
  • Way 2 – hover your mouse device over the category first, then over the “Ring” icon in the left corner of the category and click, then click on the “Trash” icon in the right corner of the page, select “Delete” or “Cancel” (the category will remain and you will return to the “Purchase” page with all categories, but the selected category to delete will be highlighted, the “Circle” icon will be green, ready to delete; to cancel this function – click on the “Circle” icon again).
  1. You can also view more information about the category, for example, the color of the product has changed. To do this, hover over this ribbon and click. You will be taken to a page where products of this category are placed. Here you can create a new product for this category. To do this, click on the button in the upper right corner of the page. We have described step by step all the next steps above.
  2. On the products page in the category, you can also edit a specific product, such as resizing a product. To do this, hover the mouse over the product, then click on the “Pencil” icon. We also described how to edit the product step by step above.
  3. You can also post this product on social media pages. To do this, hover the mouse over the product, then click on the “Rough Arrow” icon.
  4. You can also add Components (Sub-Product) to the product. To do this, hover the mouse over the product, then click on the “Plus” icon. How to add a sub-product we described above.
  5. You can also copy the product you need, for example, you have the same new product, but a different color, then thanks to copying, all the data will already be copied, you only need to make changes. To do this, hover the mouse over the product, then click on the “Two Letters” icon.
  6. You can also hide the product (buyers will not see them), for example, the product is not available, but in a few days it will be, at this time you can just hide it. To do this, hover the mouse over the product, then click on the “Eye” icon, to cancel this feature, click on the “Eye” icon again.
  7. You can also move and reorder products to do so, hover over the Arrow-Hand icon, press and hold while moving.

Next, we turn to the components (sub-products), here you can either manage existing sub-products or create a new one. We talked about the creation of a new sub-product above.

How you can manage sub-products:

  1. Delete – for example, you no longer want to sell this sub-product. You can do this in 2 ways:
  • Way 1 – hover the mouse device first over the sub-product and then over the “Trash” icon and click, select “Delete” or “Cancel”;
  • Way 2 – hover your mouse device over the sub-product first, then over the “Ring” icon in the left corner of the sub-product and click, then click on the “Trash” icon in the right corner of the page, select “Delete” or “Cancel” (the sub-product will remain and you will return to the “sub-product” page with all sub-products, but the selected sub-product to delete will be highlighted, the “Circle” icon will be green, ready to delete; to cancel this function – click on the “Circle” icon again).
  1. View more. You can also view more information about the sub-product, for example, the color of the product has changed. To do this, hover over this ribbon and click. You will be taken to a page where sub-products are placed. Here you can make all the changes that are described in Add a new sub-product.
  2. Edit. Edit the sub-product to do this, hover the mouse over the sub-product itself, then click on the “Pencil” icon, you will be taken to a page with the same functions as Add a new sub-product.

Now that we’ve sorted out the by-products, let’s move on to the next tab – “All Products”.

Here you can:

  1. Create a new product. In the upper right corner of the page you will see a “New” button, click. You will have 3 options to create a product to choose from:

  1. View more. You can also view more information about the product, for example, the color of the product has changed. To do this, hover over this ribbon and click. You will be taken to a page where products are placed. Here you can make all the changes that are described in Add a new product.
  2. Edit. Edit the product to do this, hover the mouse over the product itself, then click on the “Pencil” icon, you will be taken to a page with the same functions as Add a new product.
  3. You can also add Components (Sub-Product) to the product. To do this, hover the mouse over the product, then click on the “Plus” icon. How to add a sub-product we described above.
  4. You can also post this product on social media pages. To do this, hover the mouse over the product, then click on the “Rough Arrow” icon.
